A salt water pool is still a chlorine pool — the salt cell makes chlorine from dissolved salt instead of you pouring it in. What changes is how the water feels, how steady the chlorine level is, and how often you buy and carry chemicals. We convert chlorine pools to salt, replace and clean salt cells, and fix chlorinators that throw errors. We also tell people when salt is not the right choice, because it is not for every pool.
Chlorine pools converted to saltwater, and tired salt cells cleaned or replaced.
Salt chlorinator and cell installed and wired, the pool salted to the right level and the system set up.
Cells wear out after several seasons. We confirm yours is actually done before replacing it.
Calcium scale on the cell plates cuts output. In hard Houston water, periodic cleaning keeps it working.
Low-salt readings, flow errors and no-output faults diagnosed and fixed.
Salt can be hard on some natural stone and older equipment. We check yours before recommending it.
Why people call us
How it works

Timing. Spring is the natural time to convert, before the high-chlorine-demand summer months begin.
Size, equipment, stone and finishes checked for compatibility with salt.
Cell plumbed in after the filter and heater, and the control unit wired.
Salt added and dissolved, then the water balanced around the new system.
Chlorine output set for the season, with guidance on adjusting it.
How it is priced
A written price, before work starts
A conversion is priced as one job, and a replacement salt cell separately. The system size, brand and whether it integrates with existing automation affect the conversion price. Cells vary by model.
We look at the pool first, then give you a written price. Nothing starts until you have agreed to it.
We come out, look at the pool and give you a written price. No charge and no obligation.
Owner Brian supervises each project. You can reach the people who run the company, not a call centre.
We diagnose before we sell, and tell you when something is a simple fix you could do yourself.

Many owners prefer it: the water feels softer, chlorine levels stay more consistent and there is less handling of chemicals. But a salt pool still needs pH, alkalinity and calcium managed, salt cells need replacing every few years, and salt can be harder on some natural stone coping and older metal parts. It is a trade-off rather than an upgrade in every case. Our blog compares the two for Houston pools.
Commonly three to seven years depending on the cell, how hard it works and how well the water is kept. In Houston, calcium scaling is the enemy — a scaled cell works harder and wears faster. Keeping the pH and calcium in range, and cleaning the cell when it scales, extends its life noticeably.
A scaled or worn cell often reads salt incorrectly, as can a faulty sensor or low flow through the cell. Test the salt level independently with a strip or meter first. If the pool test says the salt is fine, the cell probably needs cleaning or has reached the end of its life. Adding more salt to satisfy a wrong reading can overshoot badly.
Salt at pool levels is far milder than seawater, but it can accelerate wear on some soft natural stones, older metal fittings and certain heaters. Sealing stone coping and decks helps, and most modern equipment is designed for salt. We look at your materials before converting and tell you if anything should be protected or reconsidered.

We come out, look at the pool properly, and put a written price together before any work starts.
