The most expensive pool repair is the one that fixes the wrong thing. A pump that will not prime can be a failed motor, a cracked lid O-ring or an air leak six feet away in the suction line — and a company that guesses will happily sell you a new pump for any of them. Our reviews keep coming back to the same point: customers called us after someone else could not find the fault. We diagnose first, tell you what we found in plain English, and tell you when it is something you could fix yourself.
Pumps, filters, heaters, valves and plumbing — found and fixed by technicians who know what they are looking at.
Pumps that will not prime, hum without turning, trip the breaker or scream on start-up. Seals, bearings, capacitors and motors replaced, or the whole pump when that is genuinely cheaper.
Cracked tanks, broken laterals and grids, leaking clamps and high pressure that cleaning will not clear. Cartridge, sand and DE filters.
Stuck or leaking valves, broken diverters, cracked unions and failed plumbing at the pad. Many of the leaks we find are here, not under the pool.
Salt cells that read low, chlorinators throwing errors, timers and automation panels that have lost their settings or their minds.
Heaters that will not fire and lights that will not come on — the common faults are covered here, and each has its own page for the bigger jobs.
Most North Houston pads are Pentair, Hayward or Jandy equipment, often mixed across two decades of replacements. We work on all of it.
Why people call us
How it works

Timing. Repair calls triple from winter to June as pumps start running long summer hours. Book non-urgent repairs in spring, before the queue builds.
What it is doing, when it started and what has changed. A phone call often narrows it down before we arrive.
We test rather than guess — pressures, amp draw, suction, the lot — until we know which part has failed and why.
Repair or replace, and what each costs. If the part will fail again because of something upstream, you hear that too.
The repair is done, the system is run and checked under load, and we do not leave until it is working.
What it costs
$150 diagnostic service call
A diagnostic service call is $150, and a full pool inspection is $229. Once we know what the fault is, the repair is priced and you get that price before we start. When the answer is new equipment, that is priced as a replacement (see pump and filter replacement) and you get the numbers side by side before deciding.
Starting prices. Your exact price is confirmed in writing before any work starts.
We come out, look at the pool and give you a written price. No charge and no obligation.
Owner Brian supervises each project. You can reach the people who run the company, not a call centre.
We diagnose before we sell, and tell you when something is a simple fix you could do yourself.

I had to play Goldilocks and the 3 Bears to find them! They are the absolute best and helped me not only keep my pool sparkling but educated me a lot. They genuinely care, don’t use the cheapest products to cause problems later and are SMART ENOUGH to fix things. I had numerous issues with another company because they never knew how to actually fix anything. Brian showed up and fixed things instantly and went out of his way to help me numerous times. This should be your first stop for help with a pool.

Aloha is great. Competitive price and squeezed me in the schedule to get my pool back up and running for the weekend! Brian took the time to answer some other questions and shared with me things I could do myself to avoid paying a technician for.

Bought new house near Tupelo Park Jan 2025, Brian has been helping me with pool issues since I moved in. New pump, new chlorinate, new robo vacuum, fixed various leaks, repaired broken valve piece, and helped me reprogram my controller for new pool affects with the water features. Half of this stuff he did for me while I was on vacation and threw in a pool cleaning too too. 5-stars for sure. Super responsive, delivers what he says he will.

Brian and Chris are incredible! I could not recommend them more for any pool needs. They are kind, quick to respond, and will be honest when it’s something I could fix myself. I would trust them with any job!

Had been losing pool water for over six (6) months ~ Couldn’t find a leak so I replaced the multiport valve gasket; that wasn’t it ~ Got frustrated and called in “professionals” ~ Two (2) came, didn’t have a clue and left. Called Aloha Swimming Pools, Inc. and didn’t leave a message, because Chris actually picked up the phone ~ Said he’d check when they had a tech in the area and would advise when they could come and evaluate the issue(s) ~ About an hour later I heard a vehicle in my drive and it was Chris and his helper. Chris inspected the equipment while the helper checked the pool ~ The helper found a leaking pipe in the water feature buried waaaaaay in the back of the pool area under dense vegetation ~ The helper capped the pipe and Chris found and replaced a faulty water feature valve. And they were done and I haven’t added a drop of water to the pool since ~ Yes, it was a simple fix, but I darn sure couldn’t find it ~ The “big deal” is the customer service I received; that’s exactly how a service provider should operate their business and I couldn’t have asked for more or better. Aloha Swimming Pools, Inc. is my new pool service provider and if I have a future issue I cannot repair myself, I'll be calling them ~ Try them out!

I can't say enough about the people at Aloha. I had an issue with my pool that had been essentially non-functional for 18 months (thank you Texas February Freeze). We had paid two different companies to drain, wash and fix the issues. Thousands of dollars, but nothing worked. We gave up. I finally decided I would not keep looking at a swamp. Brian called me back within 5 minutes. Chris was at my house that very same day, starting the fixes. Michael was there two days later, vacuuming. Chris came on Monday, finished the vacuuming, and worked on the water balance. They found other issues, and are in the process of fixing all of them! Long story short, I have never seen such great customer service. They have been professional, friendly, prompt, and honest. Each one of them has gone above and beyond for us. Our pool is almost back to pre-freeze! I will not ever let anyone else touch our pool. They are amazing.

I am soooo grateful to have found Aloha Swimming Pools. My experience has been amazing from the beginning. Like most home owners with a pool, we lived without the hot tub working or a pool light broken. Always something! Well after several attempts to try to fix within budget we almost gave up. We found Chris and Brian online and WOW I couldn’t believe how understanding and affordable and quick to answer they were. I called today they were in my home fixing the problem tomorrow. I was floored by how quick and knowledgeable they were. I repaired practically every problem my pool system had with them and I have decided to make them my go to pool service FOREVER!!! Thank you Chris and Brian for everything!!!!🥰
Where we do it
Before you call
Something not answered here? Call (832) 528-4979 — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.
If the pump is under about eight years old and the fault is a seal, bearing or capacitor, repair almost always wins. If it is an older single-speed pump with a failed motor, replacing it with a variable-speed pump often pays for itself in lower electricity bills within a couple of Houston summers. We price both and show you the numbers. The wrong answer is replacing a pump because of an air leak somewhere else in the plumbing, which we see regularly.
The usual causes are a clogged skimmer or pump basket, a dirty filter, an air leak on the suction side, or a closed or broken valve. Check the baskets and the filter pressure first — that fixes a surprising number of calls. If there are bubbles in the pump lid, air is getting in somewhere before the pump. If the basket is clear and the pressure is normal, it may be the impeller, and that is when you want someone to look at it.
Yes. Most of the pads we work on have had equipment added by three or four different companies over twenty years. We work on the major brands whoever installed them. The only time we will steer you away from repairing something is when the part is discontinued or the repair costs more than it is worth, and we will say that plainly.
For customers on our routes it is often the same week and sometimes the same day — several of our reviews mention same-day visits. For new customers it depends on the season; June is the busiest month of the year. Tell us whether the pool is still running, because a pool that is circulating can wait a few days, and one that is not will start turning green.

We come out, look at the pool properly, and put a written price together before any work starts.
