Pool plaster is not forever. Houston heat, a long swim season and years of chemistry that was not quite right leave it rough underfoot, etched, stained or cracked — and at some point no amount of brushing brings it back. Replastering strips the old surface and applies a new one: classic white plaster, a coloured finish, or a quartz or pebble aggregate that lasts longer. Owner Brian supervises every replaster we do, because a finish is only as good as the prep underneath it and the first weeks after it goes in.
Stained, rough or cracked plaster stripped back and refinished in white, colored or aggregate finishes.
The pool is drained with care for groundwater pressure, and the old surface chipped or ground back so the new finish has something sound to bond to.
Cracks, hollow spots and delaminated areas opened up and repaired before the new finish goes on, rather than plastered over.
Classic white marcite gives the bright blue look; coloured plasters shift the water to deeper blues and greys.
Aggregate finishes cost more and last longer, hide staining better and feel different underfoot. We show you samples in water, not just on a card.
With the pool empty is the cheapest time to replace waterline tile, lights or fittings. We price those alongside so you can decide once.
New plaster is at its most vulnerable in the first weeks. We handle the start-up chemistry and brushing so it cures hard and even.
Why people call us
How it works

Timing. Replaster searches peak in February and March as people plan for summer. Booking in late winter gets the pool finished and cured before swim season.
We look at the old surface, tile and fittings, and bring finish samples. You get a written price for the whole job.
Drained with attention to groundwater, old finish removed, repairs made and surfaces cleaned.
Plaster or aggregate applied in one continuous day by the crew, then filled with water the same day or next.
Brushing and carefully managed water chemistry through the cure — the part that decides how the finish looks in five years.
Equipment back on, water balanced, and a walk-through of how to care for the new surface.
How it is priced
A written price, before work starts
The finish sets most of the price: white plaster costs least, and premium quartz and pebble finishes cost more but last longer. Pool size, repairs found during prep, and whether tile is replaced at the same time move the number. Your quote itemises each so you can see where the money goes.
We look at the pool first, then give you a written price. Nothing starts until you have agreed to it.
We come out, look at the pool and give you a written price. No charge and no obligation.
Owner Brian supervises each project. You can reach the people who run the company, not a call centre.
We diagnose before we sell, and tell you when something is a simple fix you could do yourself.

Brian and Chris went above and beyond to make sure I got the exact right custom quartz color I wanted, and it turned out even better than I imagined! Great people to do business with, very happy.

Where we do it
Before you call
Something not answered here? Call (832) 528-4979 — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.
White plaster in a Houston pool typically lasts around 10 to 15 years; quartz finishes somewhat longer, and pebble finishes longer again. Water chemistry decides the real number — pools kept in balance outlast those that spend summers with low pH or high calcium. Roughness, staining that will not come out and flaking are the signs, rather than a date on the calendar.
White plaster is the least expensive and gives the classic bright water colour, but it shows staining and wears soonest. Quartz adds durability and colour options at a moderate premium. Pebble is the most durable and hides wear best, costs the most, and has a textured feel some people love and others do not. Stand in a sample if you can. We will tell you which we think suits how the pool is used.
The work itself — draining, prep and application — usually takes several days, and weather can add to that. Then the pool refills, which takes a day or more on a garden hose, followed by a start-up period of careful brushing and chemistry. Plan on roughly one to two weeks before normal swimming, and do not book it for the week before a pool party.
It needs care. Much of the Houston area has a high water table, especially after wet weather, and an empty concrete pool can be pushed upward by groundwater pressure beneath it. That is why we check conditions before draining, avoid emptying pools after heavy rain, and keep the time the pool sits empty as short as possible. It is not a job to do yourself with a rented pump.

We come out, look at the pool properly, and put a written price together before any work starts.
